4:00 - 6:00 pm: All Participants (Both Resident and Commuter) first meet at the Ohio University Inn to check-in for the Festival. Participants will then proceed to the School of Music (Robert Glidden Hall) for the Ensemble/Chair Placement Auditions.
5:00 - 7:00 pm: Ensemble/Chair Placement Auditions with the woodwind and brass faculty. These auditions will determine placement within either the Honor Wind Symphony or Honor Symphonic Band. Percussionists will be sent specific Ensemble and Part Assignments and music prior to the Festival, approximately one week prior to the festival weekend.
Music for ensemble/chair placement auditions (PLEASE NOTE: these excerpts are different from the AUDITION MATERIAL; upon acceptance to the Festival, participants will then prepare the excerpts below)
Flute / Piccolo (Participants interested in Piccolo should prepare BOTH Piccolo AND Flute excerpts).
Clarinet in B-flat
Bass Clef Euphonium / Treble Clef Baritone
Percussion: Each participant will be assigned and sent specific parts prior to the Festival.
8:00 pm: Festival Concert #1: "Band-O-Rama!" featuring the OHIO Wind Symphony, Symphonic Band, University Band, and a special appearance by the Marching 110, "The Most Exciting Band in the Land!"

Afternoon: Dress Rehearsal in Memorial Auditorium
3:00 pm: Pre-Concert Reception for family and friends in Baker University Center Ballroom (fourth floor)
4:00 pm: Festival Concert #3: Festival Wind Symphony & Festival Symphonic Band
We are pleased to continue our partnership with the Ohio University Inn to provide housing for participants. This full-service hotel is conveniently located close to campus and upperclassmen from the School of Music will serve as chaperones. Breakfast is provided at the hotel and two meals on Friday will be provided by university dining services. Transportation (via Shuttle Vans) will be provided during the festival.
